Steven Huey Software on Monday announced the release of Hamilton, a new utility to help you track your savings bonds. It costs $19.95. A 30-day demo version is available for download.

Hamilton helps you organize your savings bonds in groups, and can download the latest values of those bonds from the U.S. Treasury, so you know what your savings bond are worth. Hamilton will advise you when bonds mature and are no longer accumulating interest. It will also warn you when bonds are too new cash in, or when bonds will incur an interest penalty. You can also import data from other programs using Comma Separated Value (CSV) files.

The software was developed for Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard" and is a Universal binary.

MacSTAC NOTE: Before you try this, we recommend you explore the same type of tool available from the US Government, and it's free. http://www.treasurydirect.gov/BC/SBCPrice

Thanks for the comments (I'm the developer of Hamilton), and have been a user of both Savings Bond Wizard on the PC and the US Treasury's calculator website, but found them lacking and really wanted a Mac specific app. The 1.0 release is just the core feature set, I really want to get some feedback so if you've got any ideas to make it better or things you found lacking in Savings Bond Wizard or their online calculator please let me know.

Thanks again for taking the time to comment!

Best regards,
Steven Huey
