iWeb Buddy extends iWeb functionality

Zarra Studios has released iWeb Buddy, a new post-processing application designed to complement Apple's iWeb software. It costs $25.

iWeb is the Web page design software Apple includes with its iLife '08 application suite. It's good at creating basic pages and hosting them using Apple's subscription-based .Mac service, but users looking to extend its functionality beyond that can quickly run into a wall.

iWeb Buddy adds additional functionality to iWeb; it enables users to support iWeb-built sites on multiple domains, or example. It lets you post-process iWeb-built pages so you can add Google Analytics, Social Bookmarking, Haloscan comments and custom HTML to your Web site automatically. iWeb Buddy remembers settings, account information and more. It also lets you redirect your RSS feeds to sites like Feedburner and works with Mint site tracking.

iWeb Buddy requires iLife '08 and Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard."
