MacSTAC was founded on April 1, 1978 as an Apple II MUG. We are a community group with members from all walks of life, careers and levels of ability. We welcome all Mac users to improve their knowledge and, in turn, share their Mac knowledge with others. http://macstac.org

MacSTAC July Meeting on Thursday, July 16th

Here's a meeting to put on your calendar:  Burt Mueller is back to demonstrate the features of Apple's Garage Band. Burt is an experienced musician, a teacher, and and wonderful presenter. While you may not be musically inclined, you are in for a treat as Burt shows us what this software tool that we all have on our Macs can do.

Also, as time permits, we will be demonstrating several new software packages, plus receive your Questions and, hopefully, provide useful Answers.

Again, mark your calendar.

In this regard, here is an interesting TV program that touches on an aspect of Garage Band:

The PBS science program NOVA ScienceNOW will be featuring a segment on Dr. Andy and Auto-Tune on their season premier episode on June 30th at 9PM ET/PT (please check your local listings for the time in your area).

This is about the pitch correction software created by Antares.
Similar pitch correcting software is included in GarageBand,
and Burt be addressing that in July as part of my presentation.
