MacSTAC was founded on April 1, 1978 as an Apple II MUG. We are a community group with members from all walks of life, careers and levels of ability. We welcome all Mac users to improve their knowledge and, in turn, share their Mac knowledge with others. http://macstac.org

MacSTAC July Meeting and Two Requests

We will be meeting next Thursdays, July 16th, 6:30 pm, at the Vestal Library. We will have a lot of interesting things to present, plus you are encouraged to show off any apps or websites that you have found interesting and useful (just bring your iPad, laptop, or iPhone with the app or website installed).

On another note, we have had two requests from members:

1. Does anyone have a working fairly recent Mac Mini for sale? We know of a PC user who has had it with Windows problems and wants to switch to the Mac without a large investment. They already have a nice monitor, keyboard, and mouse. If you have one, please let me know model, year, specifications including size of HD and amount of memory and whether is has an internal CD/DVD drive, preinstalled software that will stay on the Mini, and of course price.

2. A member wants to upgrade their Mac to the latest OS, but is being held back because their Quicken program is 2006. Those data files doe not transfer to the Quicken 2015 nor other programs like Moneydance or iBank. They would like to obtain a copy of Quicken 2007. That would enable them to reformat their data into the correct format. If you have Quicken 2007, please let me know and how much you want for it. If you just want to lend your copy, that would probably work too.
