One member uploaded a .pdf to a folder on his .Mac page. .Mac then changed it to
 file_name.pdf-binhex.hqx
It added "-binhex.hqx" to the file. It binhex encodes the file for download.
Apple no longer bundles Allume (old Aladdin) Stuffit Expander with itsOS. From the Finder's FILE menu, it will let you "Create Archive Of ..." however.
 QUESTION:
Will Tiger decode these coded files, or does everyone still have to install a copy of Expander (or something else) to decode them?
 ANSWER:
If you just double-click the file it will decode and be placed in a folder on the desktop - regardless of whether you have Stuffit or not (in Tiger).
