Re: August MacSTAC Picnic Final Note

Wayne just wrote the following regarding tomorrow's picnic:

" Suggest that members arrive around 4-4:30 if they was to dip feet or enjoy the view from the deck"

MacSTAC'ers:

Our August meeting will take place THIS Thursday, August 25th at the Quaker Lake Yacht Racing Club in Brackney PA.

It will be a picnic.

Our only restriction is a boat club requirement that there are no "dishes to pass" and only one person will do the serving.

Our plan is a cookout with hamburgers, hot dogs, cole slaw, potato salad, dessert and nonalcoholic beverages. You do not have to bring anything except yourself and a significant other if you wish. You may also invite guests.

Here is the current list of attendees:
Ray David
Katie David
Sue Margolius
Ben Margolius
Wayne Kashinsky
Joan Mueller
Augie Mueller
John Spencer
Natalie Spencer
Rich Rea
Ed Spafard
Son of Ed Spafard

We'll will begin at 5 PM with a brief Apple review and Q&A's and then cook and eat. All activities will be out of doors. You do not have to bring anything. We will provide all food, drink, and place settings

Menu: hamburgers, hot dogs, cole slaw, chips, and dessert. We may need a cook or two to handle the grill. We will provide serving utensils and gloves.

Here's the current weather forecast:
ThursdaySunny, with a high near 85.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.

Directions:

Get to New York Route 17 (soon to be Interstate 86 ) west of Binghamton, NY.

Take exit 67S (Vestal exit). Take Route 26 south for 8.5 miles (at the Pennsylvania border, the road becomes Route 267).

One mile after you enter Pennsylvania, turn left at the NBT Bank and the Choconut Inn. At the next intersection (4-way), continue straight to Quaker Lake. Continue along the north shore of the lake and look for the Yacht Club, a small TAN building on your left. The distance from the last stop sign to the yacht club is 2.2 miles.

If you're coming from Binghamton, take Pennsylvania Avenue south and end up on Stateliness Road. Turn left townward Brackney and go past the Brackney Inn. Then turn left when you see Quaker Lake.

As you go around the lake, look for the building that has boats on a rack plus more across the street lakeside. The drive way is to the immediate left of the building. Park in the back behind the building.
