In case you didn't see it, Apple released OS 10.4.8 today. Read all about it at

Just a reminder, unless you NEED the new features 10.4.8 provides RIGHT NOW, you are well advised to wait at least a couple weeks or more just to make sure that there are no bugs in the new release. This short wait may save you some problems in the long run in case the new OS is incompatible with some of your applications or hardware peripherals.
Just because your Apple Software Update notices says that 10.4.8 is available, you DO NOT have to download it UNTIL YOU ARE READY.
