SuperDocker

f you don't like Leopard's 3-D dock, SuperDocker offers a number of variations that you can implement with a few mouse clicks. You can switch to the 2-D dock, or replace the 3-D dock's background, separator, and active application indicator.

Click to see a larger screen shot.

SuperMenu includes about 20 different backgrounds ranging from wood paneling to a shiny coffee table, and about 10 different dock dividers and active program indicators. A live preview shows how your dock will look when done; when you see a look you like, click Apply Changes to activate your new dock.

SuperDocker also lets you tweak various hidden preferences for stacks, Finder activities, Safari, Time Machine, and assorted other programs. All functions are accessed through the easy-to-use interface, and all can be easily reversed with the functions on the Restoration tab. A question mark next to each item explains what that item does, so you can know what will happen before you change any setting.
