The author is Paul Taylor ((619) 224-2246). After 16 years of doing
these newsletters, he is considering ending them.

He goes on to say:

Hints & Tips has been a labor of love. But the costs involved
subscribing to
publications and buying books and the costs of the website, plus the
time
required to read over 80 newsletters and magazines searching for
tips, plus
the time (over 80 hours each month) required to select which tips
will be in
each newsletter, then format them for both the PDF and HTML versions, is
just too much for me to continue without compensation.

My question to you is: Would you be willing to pay for this newsletter?

If so, how much?

My subscription to Design Tools Monthly is $200 per year. Photoshop
User is
$100 each year. I am thinking that I would like Hints & Tips to sell for
about $60 per year. That's $5 per month. This subscription price would
include full access to the Hints & Tips Database.

If enough of you are willing to pay for a subscription, then I am
willing to
continue publishing each month. If not, then next month's issue
(July) will
probably be my last.

I have enjoyed all the positive email messages many of you have sent,
but
this has become my third job (graphic designer, boat captain, and
publisher
of Hints & Tips). I just cannot afford to continue to do it for free.

Please send me your thoughts. Would you pay? How much do you think it's
worth? If you did pay, would you like to see any changes in the format?
